Behind the scenes — night shoot in the garage

writers club films

Write it. Shoot it. Figure it out.

See Our Work

Made by us. All of it.

Writers Club Films started at the University of Rhode Island. A few friends who wouldn't stop making things. What started as weekly writing sessions became short films, music videos, sketches, and now an award-winning feature film! No studio backing. No gatekeepers. Just the work.

The crew has grown a lot over the years but one thing has always stayed the same. The best work comes when you have people who actually want to be in the room creating together.

We write it, shoot it, cut it, score it.

Estranged bandmates reunite when the drummer throws himself an unexpected bachelor party. Cheap beer, jam sessions, and a pool — what could go wrong? Between years of unspoken resentment, off-key vibes, and one member totally losing the plot, their final performance ends with one killer finale.

Find the right people and get out of the way.

Writers Club exists because making things alone is boring. The best ideas come from people who push each other — who show up, say the honest thing, and stay late to get it right. We don't chase trends or wait for permission. We find people we trust, pick a project, and go.
